    Each contribution counts!!

We hope to get at least 100 people involved in this project with a first contribution to support everything from reconstruction to the purchase of materials, as well as energy and transaction costs, and to help create a livelihood and a community-minded space from the ruins. The reward: being part of the reconstruction of Gaza. You can also request an A6-sized printout with a design of Harry Malt. See a sample here.

    Start making it happen

If we can get at least 50 people to contribute this amount, Ibrahim will be able to cover the store’s inventory and operating expenses for the first month. With another twenty extra contributions, Ibrahim will be able to support his family during the first few weeks as he begins construction. If you contribute this amount, we can send you four original A5 prints. You can see the original designs by artist Harry Malt, @harrymaltdrawing, on our website.

First campaign week

30 | 04 | 2026

Dear co-funders,

We’ve now completed the first week of the campaign since we launched it last Thursday, 23 April, and it’s time to take stock.
Amidst all the excitement and fine-tuning over the last few days, things have started to happen, and we’d like to share them with you.

First of all, thank you to everyone who has contributed without hesitation during the first few days of the campaign. That initial momentum is essential for reaching more people, encouraging others to get involved, and enabling us to gradually achieve our targets. We have reached 50% of our minimum target and hope to get closer to it in the coming days to ensure the project’s success. Please do share this or contribute as much as you can. Every contribution is welcome.

We’ve also launched our social media presence (Mastodon and Instagram), and a number of individuals and collective initiatives have started following us and reposting our updates. Thank you for that too. The spread of our message is also a key factor.

We have spent the last few days sending out lots of personal messages and visiting local venues and businesses to speak to people. We have started collecting messages of support, which we will be posting on social media. We greatly value personal contact and the support of local businesses, because this forms the basis of our approach and because we believe in the networks of our neighbourhoods and communities as the foundation for coexistence and mutual support.

Once again, a huge thank you to everyone who has lent their voice to support this initiative, to those who have put up a poster, and to those who have gone from place to place spreading the word about it. We’ll be continuing with this over the next few days, and we encourage you to do the same in your own communities.

We still have a lot of work to do and many people to reach, in every neighbourhood, town or village; the value of every contribution is immeasurable. So too is what we build together along the way. But we didn’t want to conclude this brief initial review without mentioning you, our greatest source of support.

And now, let’s talk about Palestine. As we mentioned in the project description, this initiative represents a firm commitment to community rebuilding. Our friend Ibrahim, with whom we are in daily contact, is yet another example of resistance and resilience, and having the opportunity to support him is of immense value to us, because it gives us the chance to directly support the resistance and dignity of the Palestinian people in the face of the cruelty of the Zionist occupation and the complicity and inaction of the international community in the face of famine and genocide.

We’re kicking off our second week of campaigning with that conviction, and we’re confident that together we’ll make it happen.
Finally, we’d also like to mention the Global Sumud Flotilla today; we’re with you, and we can see you.
